Fellow Lost Survivor,
I met someone in my travels today. I was down by the docks, looting some ship caches when I saw him in the ocean.
He was wearing a life vest and was dressed in a Telos naval uniform. Even after I saved him, he could barely put two words together.
When I tried to ask him what was wrong, he made it clear that he was a ‘traitor’ and didn’t want anyone to know he had escaped.
He ran away immediately after. But escaped from what? Why was he terrified of his own institute?
I hope there’s an answer in here.
‣ Security Protocol 214 acts as an essential internal failsafe designed to swiftly neutralize mutinies or unauthorized security breaches aboard our naval vessels.
‣ By regulation, every active Telos submarine is equipped with seven reinforced glass compartments containing captive, infected "Lost" test subjects.
‣ In the event of a compromised central console or direct activation from Telos HQ, the protocol automatically unlocks these cells to release the infected directly into the submarine's control room.
‣ All managing personnel are once again reminded that this protocol is not intended as mutiny insurance, but ultimately serves as a visible deterrent against insubordination.
‣ The best practice is to use infected subjects from the naval officer’s personal life, such as their dead spouses or children. A targeted approach has proven to be more effective for keeping them in line.
I had no idea… Poor guy.
It’s clear that Telos are not just an average research institute.
There have been too many dark transmissions recorded in here. Some are just outright cruel.
I’m going to get to the bottom of this. I swear.
